Umbraco CMS

This a .NET Content Management System (CMS)  for Windows servers that has a lot of fans in the developer community. It's very easy to use and very quick too. It's our favourite Windows CMS.

Umbraco's user interface was designed to be easy to use by following conventions from existing desktop applications. They have nicknamed themselves as the ‘Friendly CMS’ and have removed anything that isn’t essential to the task of creating or editing information in order to keep everything really simple.

That's why umbraco includes Microsoft Word 2007 integration. With Microsoft Word 2007 users can access Umbraco pages directly from their desktop to edit content and create new pages, and even work off-line. Because of this strong integration with umbraco, users gain all the benefits of working in a familiar word processor, including automatic spelling and grammar checking, easily inserting images, charts or video directly in Microsoft Word 2007, etc. And you don’t need to worry about html, css or any other technical challenges. It just works.

Luckily, Umbraco stores every version of your content, including all the changes that have been made. If something is not right, you can always go back in time to a previous version. Umbraco’s roll back capability let’s you quickly find the version you want, highlighting all the differences with the current page using our effective visual difference display. When you've found the right version, just click save and your site is instantly restored to the proper version.

With Umbraco you can also schedule pages to be published (or unpublished) at any time. The scheduling in Umbraco is not limited to simply publishing content. Umbraco supports running all kinds of tasks at specific intervals. You can start a specified process every hour, every 10th minute or every 20th second if you wish.
